Born to Isaac and Sallie Wesley on August 14, 1939 in Redden, Oklahoma and died in Dallas, Tx. on June 28, 2012 at age 72. He graduated from Atoka, OK., High School, served in the U.S. Army and the National Guard. Charlie was a proud, full blood Choctaw who loved softball and the New York Yankees . Survived by wife of 42 years, Maria Wesley; sons and daughters-in-Love, Charles R. Wesley, Jr. & wife, Felicia and Barry L. Wesley & wife, Diane; grandchildren, Kandise Wesley, Zaneta Wesley, Le’Andre Wesley, Hunter Lyon, Braylen Wesley and Kaeden Wesley and by numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 12 Noon until 6PM on Sunday, July 1, 2012 at the funeral home. Funeral service 1PM Monday, July 2, 2012 in the Chapel of Sparkman/Crane Funeral Home with Rev. David Galvan, officiating. Interment to follow at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas. Serving as pallbearers will be Le’Andre Wesley, Hunter Lyon, Robert Espinosa, Sr., Bobby Espinosa, Eric Gonzales and Steve Knaggs. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials in Charlie’s name to the gymnasium fund at New Life Baptist Church in Dallas.
