Charles Fredrick "Rick" Thorpe 68, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on February 23, 2017 at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas from lymphoma cancer. Rick was born on September 4, 1948 in Huntingburg, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Jean Thorpe. Rick is survived by his sisters, Carol Seward (Lewis) of Elgin, TX Cathy Howe (Billy) of Richmond, VA; and brother Don Thorpe (Mary Jane) of Carrollton, TX.
Rick attended Holy Name School in Henderson, KY. He graduated from Bryan Adams High School, Dallas, TX in 1966, and attended Arlington State College, Arlington, TX. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a model car enthusiast and a classic country music fan. He was a parishioner of St. Pius X Catholic Church for over 50 years and he prayed the rosary daily.
Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 1 in the chapel of Sparkman Crane Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M.
