Charles Emmett Massoud was born on February 21, 1930 to Myrtle Salih and Albert Said Massoud in Wylie, Texas. He passed away on August 29, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Louise Massoud. He is survived by the loving family that he and Patsy raised in Dallas, Texas, which includes three children and their spouses: Dianna Unis and husband, Tommy; Denise Ford and husband, Randy; and Chuck Massoud and wife, Kelley. "Gogo" as he was nicknamed by his grandchildren will be terribly missed by all of them including Christina Elmore and husband, Jeff; Tom Unis Ill and wife, Kelly; Randal Ford and wife, Lauren; Emily Susman and husband, Blake. Ally Massoud, Charlie Massoud and Bobby Massoud. Great-grandchildren include Wilson and Anna Kate Elmore, Layla, Ellis and Everett Ford.
Charlie was the valedictorian of Wylie High School and attended Southern Methodist University. He served in the Armed Forces of the United States based in Anchorage, Alaska.
Always an entrepreneur, Charlie founded Massoud Furniture Manufacturing Company, which has made furniture in America for over 60 years. Charlie put his heart and soul in his work believing in honesty, hard work and doing things the right way. His son Chuck is carrying on the tradition. He balanced his ambition to succeed with constantly loving and nurturing his family with every fiber of his being.
Charlie was very involved in the Catholic community from his boyhood days in Wylie, Texas serving Mass to his time at St. Pius ushering the Masses, and then serving on the school board at Bishop Lynch High School, and finally creating a family scholarship fund at Jesuit College Preparatory School.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be at Christ the King Catholic Church at 10:00 am on Friday, September 6, with Reverend Monsignor Milam Joseph, Father Tony Lackland and Deacon Jake Schroepfer as celebrants.
Memorials may be made to the Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Massoud Sr.
Scholarship Fund at Jesuit College Preparatory School or Bishop Lynch High School.
