longtime resident of Richardson, TX where he lived with his beloved wife of 43 years, Rozanne Holmes. Charlie is survived

family is expecting another addition in early July. He is also survived by his sister Kathy Dexter, his many beloved
brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. His father Charles Holmes, his mother Katherine Yancey
Holmes, his brother Michael Holmes and sister Diana Schraeder all predeceased him.
Charlie honorably served his country as an officer in the Army. Before and after his service time in the Army, Charlie attended Wichita State University where he obtained his bachelors and masters degrees. He served a long career as a Special Agent with the US Treasury and held a CPA certification. Charlie “retired” from his long standing Government position but his drive
to contribute and to make a difference in the world kept him from ever really retiring. His most recent position was a forensic accountant with the US Attorney’s Office. Charlie was best known for his generous heart and his non-stop sense of
humor. He was able to use this sense of humor to get him and all of his loving family through some very difficult times
over the last 2 years. Even up until the last month, rain or shine, you could spot Charlie on his daily walks with his
ever faithful dog Rusty.
