Charles R. “Chip” Ball, age 58, died on Thursday, January 23, 2020, at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas, Texas. He was born on May 4, 1961, in Dallas, Texas, to Robert Anthony and Mary Carolyn (Hayes) Ball. He graduated from Waco Midway High School in 1979, received a Bachelor of
Business Administration degree from East Texas State University in 1983, and had a 30+ year career in the insurance industry. Chip was an avid DFW area sports fan and golfer, enjoyed good meals with close family, and had a soft spot for stray cats and dogs. He is survived by his mother, a twin brother Stephen Andrew Ball, a younger sister Mary Catherine Ball, sons Nathaniel Hayes Ball and Robert Alexander Ball, two grandchildren and a nephew. He is preceded in death by his father and his son Anthony Graham Ball.
A memorial service for Chip will be held in the chapel at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas, at 3:00 PM on Friday, January 31, 2020. All are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Chip’s name to the DFW Humane Society.
