In his spare time Cecilio loved going to casinos.
He is preceded in death by his parents Cecilio and Catarina Herrera, brothers Juan Herrera, Pedro Herrera, Eugene Herrera, Pioquinto Herrera, and Richard Herrera, sister Paula Herrera, and children Beatrice Flores, Cecilia Herrera, and Cecilio Herrera III.
He is survived by brothers Able Herrera of Corpus Christi and Joe Herrera of Garland, sister Ruth Ann Ramirez of Dallas, daughter Catarina H. Gonzalez of Dallas, step-children Gina Valdez, Joseph Thomasson, and Bobby Thomasson, grandchildren Juan Flores, Melissa Herrera, Michael Herrera, Stephen E. Gonzalez, and Andrea C. Gonzalez, and 7 great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Cecilio will be held Monday, February 12, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, February 13, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Grove Hill Funeral Home.
