Catherine Jolene Martin

Born in Wichita, Kansas, December 10, 1953, to Joseph and Beatrice Hamilton, the family moved to Trenton, Missouri in 1965. Cathy was an excellent student and a 1971 graduate of Trenton High School. She married Warren Martin on December 30, 1973 and lived in Trenton and several other communities, before moving to Texas in 1983 and settling in the Austin area. She worked for many years at Barton Creek Resort and Spa in the pantry and in reception.

Cathy was known as a caring, compassionate and loving mother, sister and friend. She was often described by those who knew her best as a beautiful soul who had a kind word for everyone. She sacrificed much for the comfort of others and was exceedingly caring and a delight to be around.

Cathy is survived by her three children, James Martin of Dallas, David Martin and his wife Bing of Sahuarita, Arizona and Theresa Muscato with her husband Steve of Dallas; her brothers Larry Hamilton of Castle Rock, Colorado and Hollis Hamilton of Coppell, Texas; grandchildren Megan, Matthew, Cannon, Chase, Ryan and David and many cousins that were near to her heart. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

We will all miss this amazing woman. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 April 5, 2017 at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Dallas.
