November 2, 1926 - January 15, 2022
The Lord released Catherine from the painful bonds of Dementia on January 15, 2022. While born in St. Louis, Missouri, Catherine was a long time Dallas resident, attending Holy Trinity School, Ursuline Academy and SMU.
Catherine’s career was highlighted by her position as an Executive Assistant to several distinguished Dallas business executives. Her favorite position, however, was working alongside her daughter, Colleen and son, Kevin, as they built Cook Diamonds into a multimillion-dollar corporation.
Catherine was a strong, compassionate, and resilient woman who had a passion for life. She leaves her family and friends with countless memories of her good humor and generous spirit.
Catherine is preceded in death by her parents Francis Xavier Stanton and Catherine Cody Stanton; brother, John Joseph “Jack” Stanton, and beloved grandson Austin Hunter Collins.
She is survived by her children Catherine Cook” Cathy” Phillips, Colleen Frances Cook and Kevin Stanton Cook (Michelle) and grandsons, James Stanton Cook and Kevin Joseph “Joe” Cook.
The Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, January 22, 2022, 11:00AM in the North Chapel at Calvary Hill, followed by the graveside service. 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, TX 75220 In lieu of flowers, Catherine requested that remembrances be made to the Catherine Stanton Cook Endowed Scholarship at Ursuline Academy.
