Casey was born April 5, 1975 in Denver, Colorado to George and Mary Fargo. When he was four, the family moved to Plano, Texas where Casey attended Allen High School and graduated from the Episcopal School of Dallas. He went on to attend Southern Methodist University as a President’s Scholar where he earned a degree in business.
He spent several years with Sears Logistics Services, managing software to improve their warehouse and supply chain operations.
Growing up, he was an active member of Boy Scout Troop 358, sponsored by Lovejoy School, and attained scouting’s highest rank of Eagle. He spent many happy times in Steamboat Springs, Colorado skiing with his parents and family.
In 2003, Casey married Jennifer Taylor in a small ceremony in Paris, France. They settled in the greater Dallas area and had three daughters: Katherine (Kate), Adelaide (Addy), and Juliet (Jet).
A talented musician, Casey played guitar, saxophone, drums, and the organ, and he once spent a summer following the band Blues Traveler as they toured part of the US. He was an avid fan of the Boston Bruins and always tried to attend a game at Boston Garden when he visited his Massachusetts relatives. If you saw him in a t-shirt, it probably had a Bruins logo on it.
He loved Dickey’s BBQ, Formula 1 racing, reading, and photography. He was also an unashamed Democrat who didn’t shy away from arguing politics and policy. He loved cats, and tolerated dogs, and was very proud of his daughters.
With his passing, Casey leaves his daughters, Kate, Addy and Jet Fargo of Dallas, Texas, his ex-wife Jennifer (Taylor) Fargo of Dallas, Texas, his father, George Fargo of Allen, Texas, and his mother, Mary Bonkiewicz of Sidney, Nebraska. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, James (Linda) Fargo of Reading, Massachusetts, Mark (Paula) Bonkiewicz of Omaha, Nebraska, and Ann (Riley) Grandell of Florida and cousins, Susan Hamilton (Jeff DePiero), Abigail Fargo, and Ryan Fargo (all of Massachusetts), Sam Fargo of Michigan, Todd Bonkiewicz of Omaha, Nebraska, and Jeff (Jamie) Bonkiewicz of Omaha, Nebraska.
He will be deeply missed by those who loved him. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to UNICEF For Children in Gaza & the West Bank, as well as the Depression & Bipolar Support Alliance in the links below.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Ted Dickey West Funeral Home, 7990 President George Bush Tpke, Dallas, TX 75252
