Monday, April 16, 2018, after having battled a number of health issues for
quite some time.
Carolyn was born the oldest of four children at St. Paul Hospital in Dallas,
Texas on February 12, 1949, to George and Ruth Richardson. She was preceded
in death by her infant son William Douglas Wylie; her mother, Ruth Pretre;
her dad, Bill Pretre; her brother, Bruce Richardson; her son, Tommy Wylie;
and her grandson, Bryan Wylie.
She was kind-hearted, caring, loving and generous. Some wonderful traits
for your loved ones to be able to say about you at a time such as this. She was
all of these, and more. And if you are here today to honor and remember her,
chances are, it's because she loved and cared about you.
Carolyn grew up in Oak Cliff, and graduated from Justin F.Kimball High
School. She and Bill were married April 22, 1967 at her grandparents' home
in Dallas. She and Bill lived in Irving, Texas until 1978 when they moved to
Combine. She was busy being a homemaker and raising her children for a
number of years before she went to work for G. W. Works in Dallas. She and
her mother shared a very close relationship and were fortunate to be co-
workers in the same office for many years. After retirement, she resumed her
full-time homemaker duties, and a few years ago, began taking great pride and
delight in her new role as "Nanny".
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, William "Bill" Wylie; her son,
Michael Wylie of Longview, her daughter, LaDonna Hernandez & husband
Hector, of Seagoville; son, Ricky Wylie of Las Vegas, NV.; & daughter Lindy
Wylie of Las Vegas, NV.; grandsons, Chance Wylie & Tyler Morin of Las
Vegas, NV.; grandchildren, Aiden Wylie & Adalyn Wylie of Longview, TX.;
great-grand-daughter, Bryanna Wylie of Las Vegas, NV.; brother Terry
Richardson, of Cedar Creek Lake; & sister, Kathy Sadler, of Mexia, TX, as
well as a host of beloved nieces and nephews, and many, many family &
friends.
