Carolyn Ann Creel

Carolyn Ann Creel Was born in Texarkana, Texas on October 15, 1936 to Nona Grace Ewing and James Earl Creel. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Kenneth Earl Creel. Carolyn passed on November 26, 2022 after a lengthy better with Alzheimer’s disease. A graduate of Southern Methodist University, majoring in German and English, Carolyn became a teacher at Adamson High School in Dallas. She brought her sense of humor and love of learning to her students. In 1966 she left teaching and joined the U.S. Women’s Army Corps, achieving the rank of Captain. Carolyn returned to Dallas in 1972 and began teaching again, this time at Skyline High School, retiring in 1998. She loved traveling, animals, good food, reading mysteries, telling jokes, listening to classical music, and volunteering at Baylor Hospital. Carolyn in survived by good friend Barbara Ann Taylor and a number of cousins.

A visitation for Carolyn will be held Thursday, December 8, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, Texas 75228. A funeral service will occur Thursday, December 8, 2022 at 2:00 PM, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, Texas 75228. A committal service will occur Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Grove Hill Memorial Park, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, Texas 75228.
