Carolyn Adams was “Jeanie” “Carolyn Jean, of Flower Mound Texas was born on March 31, 1957 passed away on August 18,2021. She was a graduate of South Grand Prairie High School 1976 and continued her education at Northwood College. Her career consisted of bank and finance. She gave back by participating in Big Bother Big Sister, National Kidney Foundation, and numerous food banks. She was an active member of Koinonia Christian Church in Arlington Texas. She also was a former member of, True Gospel, Deeper Life, and Faith Family Fellowship all located in Dallas Texas. Her personal interest included traveling, reading books, decorating flowers, and writing in her journal. Her talents were many she loved to love her smile could light up a room or a person’s day. As a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, community volunteer and friend who loved to entertain. A true social butterfly. She enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling throughout the United States. Carolyn was a collector of Christmas Ornaments and refrigerator magnets of places she traveled all over the world. Preceded in death by her parents William Pryor and Guthrie Mae Abercrombie. Two sisters Dora Pryor and Ozella Pryor. She is survived by husband her knight and shining armor of 24 plus years Joseph Adams, Her Step Mother Thelma Pryor, Children Robert Mayberry(Lynnette) Ronnie Mayberry (Stephanie), LeAnn Mayberry, Rodney Mayberry (Amber) and Keli Adams; her siblings, Calvin Pryor, Lonnie Pryor (Cora), Fredrick D. Pryor, Sr. (Connie), Paula Pryor, Thelma Fitzgerald (Foncell), Shree Pryor, William Pryor, and Karen Shelton (Robert); her grandchildren, Derek, Brooklyn, Kalista, Carolyn, Chasity, Xavier, Ashton, Rodney, Amaya, Gracie, Isaiah, Dominic, and Abraham and host of nieces nephews and friends.
A memorial service for Carolyn will be held Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Metro Southwinds Fellowship, 1136 West Belt Line Road, DeSoto, Texas 75115.
