Carol Mason McLane was born May 10, 1942 in Dallas, Texas to Anna Jewel and Ernest Dewey Mason. Mrs. McLane passed away peacefully January 23, 2016 in Richardson, Texas. After years of homemaking, Carol became a preschool teacher at First Baptist Church of Garland, Texas, where she loved, and was proud of, all of her students. Carol was a member of Arapaho Road Baptist Church where she was active in their church choir and 'Jubilee' ensemble. Carol was loved by many friends, and was very thankful for their presence in her life. Carol is preceded in death by her father Ernest Dewey Mason, mother Anna Jewel Suddath Mason, brothers Roy Mason and Wayne Mason, nephews Ronnie Mason and Jesse Mason.
Carol is survived by her daughter Leanne McLane Pilson, son Andy McLane, grandchildren Micah Pilson and Hannah MacDonald (Ryan), great-granddaughter Kaleigh MacDonald, beloved sister Shirley Mason, sister-in-law Geri Mason, nephews Michael Mason, Kenny Mason, and Dewey Mason, niece Rhonda Mason and several great nieces and nephews.
