Carol Ann "Canady" Bowers

Carol moved to Dallas when she was 13 years old. She graduated from Sunset High School in 1954. Carol went to work for the City of Dallas starting with the police department but soon moving to the fire department where she worked for 33 years before retiring in 1994 at. the age of 57. After retirement she started traveling. Some of her favorite trips were cruising and going to Las Vegas with a few of her sisters. She loved to volunteer at her local hospital and spending time at the Duncanville Senior Center where she starred in many "off" Broadway shows. But most of all she loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren attending their activities when possible. She was known to them as Grandma Carol.

She is survived by her sons Carroll (CG) Bowers, Thomas (Bo) Bowers and wife Connie, and Robert Bowers. Grandchildren Nicole Sims, Heather Trojacek and husband Andy, Cory Bowers, Caitlin , Allison Love and husband Derek. Great grandchildren Taylor, Taryn, Paighton, Piper, Roland, Victor, Finley and Connor. Along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceeded in death by her parents Joshua and Izetta Canady, sisters Verina, Maurice, Jackie, Lena Fay, El Norma, Alice and Ocha. Grandson Hunter Bowers and daughter in law Nancy Bowers.
