Carol Roberts Baker, 77, left this earthly home on December 13, 2022 from Mesquite, Texas. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 8, 1945 to Jack Earl and Jean Lucille Roberts. As a young child, her and her family moved to Houston, Texas where she was raised in a house her Daddy built. Carol went to South Houston High School and graduated in 1964 and stayed a dedicated Alumni until her passing.
Carol had two beautiful children, she married the love of her life Randy Baker in 1983 and they had 22 wonderful years together before his passing. She had an entrepreneurial spirit which involved being in Tupperware sales where she became one of the top producers and being the local Avon lady in Spring, Texas. Later in life, she also became a travel agent helping book cruises and beach house rentals in Galveston. Carol was active in the Republican Party helping with voting polls and helping spread the word about who she thought would best help her beloved state of Texas. She won multiple community awards helping judge events and being an extremely active member of Houston. Carol enjoyed going on Carnival cruises with Randy along with other friends. In 2006 she got to take her daughter Ellen, on her first cruise which started the whole family on loving cruising.
Carol was devote Christian and attended church every Sunday, even when she could no longer attend church she had local pastors come worship with her and watched Daystar to hear the Lord’s word. She could not wait to meet God and go home to be with her family. She loved her children and grandchildren very much and loved to brag to her friends about all their accomplishments.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Randy Baker; parents, Jack and Jean Roberts; sister, Suzanne Freeman. Left to cherish her memory are her children, James Peeler and Ellen Francisco; grandchildren, Britney Buchanan, Ryon Couch, James Peeler Jr. and Stacy Camarillo; one great-granddaughter, Mackenzie Buchanan; Nieces, Michelle, Catherine, and Jennifer; and a mass amount of close friends.

The family requests if you would like to send floral arrangements, they need to be delivered to Grove Hill Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas by Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 2:00pm.
A graveside service for Carol will be held Friday, December 30, 2022 at 11:00am at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veteran Memorial Dr., Houston, TX 77038.
