Carlos Ayala Jr., affectionately known as “Charlie” by all who loved him, son of Carlos and Diana Ayala, was born September 2, 1986. He entered into Paradise on Sunday, July 23, 2017 where he is joined by his grandfathers, Jesus Olvera and Richard Ayala. He was raised in Mesquite, Texas alongside his sister, Gina. After graduating from John Horn High School in 2005, he joined his Dad in the printing business.
In addition to his immediate family, Charlie is survived by his lovely daughter, Lizzie Ayala; his beloved, Robin Hollis; brother-in-law, Freddy Samaniego; his nephew, Jayden and niece, Gabby; grandmothers, Lucina Olvera and Carmen Ayala; as well as countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was as quiet as a mouse when around big groups, but his presence was known simply by his smile that lit up the room. Charlie is best known as the little hunter of the family. As a child, his favorite place to be was at the deer lease, hunting with his Dad, uncles and cousins. The many bonding years spent hunting game with is Dad are memories that will be cherished forever.
Although he was taken from us at the tender age of 30, Charlie was a bright young man with a big thumping heart, which was especially displayed by the love he had for his pets, particularly his childhood dog Rambo and his long-time sidekick, Ariel.
Charlie had a very special place in his heart for his daughter and family. He expressed his unrelenting love for Lizzie by leaving her sweet letters and notes. And when gathered around family, he would come alive through hours of jokes and laughter. And with those special cousins that he considered brother. Many years were spent with sleepovers, camping trips, hanging out at lowrider car shows, and their most favorite activity, popping fireworks at Grandma’s house every Fourth of July. But his most special love, the love he had for his daughter, parents and for his dear soul-mate Robin, he kept very close to his heart.
Charlie’s sweet personality, and kind soul will be missed by everyone that loved him.
On behalf of the Ayala family, we would like to thank you all for the outpouring support, love, and prayers. As the days go by, please continue to keep Charlie’s family in your thoughts as they continue to heal; pray that God may ease the pain in their hearts until the day comes when they are reunited.
