Cleveland, Bruce Judson 77, passed away on Aug. 13, 2013 following a long and courageous battle with COPD. Born in San Francisco, California, Bruce was the eldest son of Judson Carr Cleveland and Elizabeth Morgan. A resident of Texas from the time he was only a few months old, Bruce grew up in Highland Park, and attended St. Mark's School and SMU. An investor by trade, Bruce enjoyed finding and rehabbing rental property throughout Dallas. An avid collector, he appreciated both the beautiful and eclectic. A gourmet cook, Bruce was fond of entertaining, hosting numerous celebrations for family and friends. Bruce prized relationships with people and animals, providing a warm and welcoming home to many throughout his life. He was a member of Highland Park United Methodist Church, the First Men's Garden Club of Dallas, and he also spent many years helping others through the Preston Center AA Group. Bruce is survived by his three sons: Josiah Bruce Cleveland, wife Angela and children Jackson and Elizabeth; James L. Stuart, Jr., wife Brandi and children, Hunter and Dallas; and Charles Russell Cleveland. He is also survived by his brother George Russell Cleveland. In addition, he is survived by his former spouse, Virginia Stuart. He was predeceased by his brother, Joseph Charles Cleveland. A memorial service will be held at Lakeside Garden Pavilion of Sparkman-Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Dallas at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17th.
