Brittney Serpa, born March 3, 1994 in Bedford Texas To Roy and Tori Serpa….the younger sister of Blake. Early family memories showcased her love of following her brother’s lead. When he dressed up for Halloween as Troy Aikman, she dressed up as a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader. She spent much of her days trying to be just like her brother Blake. She loved and adored her brother more than anything and tried to emulate him in just about everything she did. Brittney has always been a friend to all. She was the child who defended the child who was being bullied or the child that no one wanted to play with. She always sat at lunch with the child that no one wanted to eat with. Brittney always took these children under her wing. Brittney was such a spirited young lady. She was filled with so much passion and so many dreams. She was always dreaming about her life and what her life would be like. She set the bar so high for herself. Brittney attended Prince of Peace Christian school for elementary school. She then attended Middle school at Prestonwood Christian Academy. As typical of Brittney, she then followed her brother to John Paul II Catholic High School.During these years Brittney followed her love of cheerleading & gymnastics. She really became passionate for running, track, working out and keeping fit, cross country and soccer. She planned to graduate one year early from high school on May 24 from Spring Creek Academy and join her brother at Ole Miss in the fall. Britt was very excited about going through sorority rush and involvement in Ole Miss College life especially Football games and being with friends at The Grove.Instead she graduated to heaven at the age of 18. Brittney’s energetic love of life lit up any room she entered. She usually entered singing Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” at the tip of her lungs. She fully embraced life loving friends and family more than anything in the world. A list of Brit’s favorite things must include Northpark Mall, Lake Cypress and the lake house and Ole Miss, family vacations like Monaco and Italy and anywhere her friends were. Her favorite past times were visiting her brother in Oxford, enjoying time with Mom and being Daddy’s little girl. Brittney’s special spirit will be sorely missed as she left her earthly life much too early.
