Brenda Joy Rodriguez, of Dallas, TX entered eternal life Friday, February 17, 2017 at the age of 60. Her spirit is carried on by her companion David Gonzales; 3 daughters, Melissa Southers, Alicia Finney and Veronica Gaidos; 8 grandchildren, Brendan, Alyssa, Isaiah, Elijah, James, Addison, Victoria and EJ; sisters, Mollye Baker, Shirley Morgan, brothers, Eugene, Ora and Leonard Ashley. She is preceded in death by her first daughter Staci Jauregui, father Willie Ashley, her beloved mother Louise Ashley; sisters, Ethel Hollenbaugh, Barbara Saint and brother, James Ashley.
Brenda was born on April 5, 1956 in Winchester, Tennessee. She grew up as the seventh of nine children. Brenda had a personal relationship with the Lord and loved spending time with her family more than anything. She loved Mexican food, flowers, coloring, art, dance and music! She was the best cook, loved books and forensics. She was quite the character, a little clumsy and could bring laughter to any room. She was a great listener and loved to talk. She always rooted for the underdog and saw the beauty in the simplest of things. She is tremendously loved and will be greatly missed.
Funeral Service will be held at Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220, Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 10AM. Inurnment to follow.
