Brandon was born on December 17, 1980, in Charlotte, North Carolina, to Nancy Blauvelt Smith and Jerry Michael Smith. He attended Sequoyah High School in Woodstock, Georgia, and graduated from Southern Polytechnic State University on May 9, 2009. Brandon spent his career as a construction Project Manager as he liked being on the jobsite and didn’t want to be tied to a desk.
Brandon was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, uncle and friend. A genuine, fun loving, nice guy. He knew no strangers and loved to make everyone laugh. He was an avid sports fan and loved the outdoors. His favorite pastime was spending time on the ranch ,whether being on the tractor, riding the ATV, hunting, fishing or out on the boat.
Brandon is survived by his parents, Nancy and Rick Harding (mother and stepfather) of Woodstock, Georgia, and Mike and Barbara Smith (father and stepmother) of Dallas, Texas; sisters, Sharon Payne and husband, Jason of Canton, Georgia, and Morgan Smith of Dallas, Texas; stepsisters, Jessica Graham and husband, Andrew of McKinney, Texas, and Jaime Puthoff and husband, John of Austin, Texas; grandfather, Jerry Smith of Shelby, North Carolina; and step-grandparents, Robert and Anita Roetker of Lafayette, Indiana. Brandon also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and first cousins second removed. Preceded in death by grandparents, Bobbie and Percy Blauvelt; grandmother, Polly Smith, step-grandparents, Dick and Margaret Harding; uncle, Bryan Crow; and aunt, Terry Beam.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Brandon Smith will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at Northside Chapel located at 12050 Crabapple Road Roswell, Georgia.
