Bonnie Lou Phillips, 83, joined her husband, Bobby Gene Crow, and her daughter Vickie Louise Crow in The Kingdom of Heaven on October 17, 2012. Bonnie was born to Mary Catherine and Albert Norton Phillips on January 27, 1929 in Memphis, TN. She was devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Bonnie and Bobby were married on December 24, 1946. Their 65-year marriage was a model of love, devotion and dedication. Bonnie worked as a teacher’s aide in the Irving Independent School District for several years. During her service there, she worked exclusively with special needs children. She found joy in helping them grow and learn. Bonnie is survived by her son, Gary Phillips Crow, her granddaughter, Mary Catherine Crow, grandsons, Kelley Morgan Crow and Christian St. Jon Gournay, and her three great-grandchildren, Madeline Christine Gournay, Caroline Elizabeth Gournay and Benjamin Ryan Gournay, as well as her sister, Monettia Phillips. Visitation will be held at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Chapel East of Hillcrest Mausoleum on Thursday, October 25 at 10:00 a.m. with entombment to follow.
