Bobbie Jean Wilson was born December 2, 1935 in Bruce, Mississippi to Alice Ellen Chrestman Wilson (Ms. Ellen) and Robert Edward Wilson. The Wilson family called her Jean. The Tribble family and called her Bobbie. She had two brothers, Thomas Edward Wilson and Charles Tansel Wilson. Her parents and brothers preceded her in death. Bobbie died peacefully on Monday evening, April 10, 2017. Bobbie was a victim of Alzheimer's disease. Bobbie had been in assisted living at Juliet Fowler Homes for the past four years. Unfortunately, Bobbie had just learned that she had pancreatic, brain and lung cancer. She passed much quicker than expected only three days after leaving the hospital.
Bobbie moved to Dallas in 1955 and attended Dallas College located in downtown Dallas. She also signed up with the Patricia Stevens Modeling Agency. Bobbie also did some work for the USO at nearby Hensley Field/Dallas Naval Air Station where she met her husband John Earl Tribble who was in the Navy. John and Bobbie married in September of 1957. Bobbie lost John in February 2007.
Shortly after their marriage, Bobbie went to work in the Accounting Department for Union Bankers Insurance Company at Elm and Good Latimer Streets in Downtown Dallas. After taking time off from her career to have her daughter, Donna Ann and several years later her son Michael Earl, she returned to work in the Accounting Department at Union Bankers Insurance Company when Michael was three years old. Bobbie was promoted several times until becoming the manager of the Agency Accounting Department where she managed a large staff of accountants. Bobbie retired after 30+ years at Union Bankers.
Bobbie enjoyed cooking, gardening, bird watching, reading, antiques and watching the Antiques Roadshow and other PBS programs. Bobbie enjoyed music particularly classical, opera, the Rat Pack and Elvis. She enthusiastically supported the Dallas Cowboys and seldom missed watching a game. She had a soft spot for animals and had a particular fondness of cats. She enjoyed traveling and being with her family.
Bobbie leaves behind a daughter Donna Ann, Donna’s husband Monty Kitchens, grandson Aaron Kitchens and his wife Mayra; a son, Michael Earl Tribble, and his wife Kelly and children Elizabeth and her husband Edwin Corea, Michelle, Michael II and his wife Kasey, Bailey, Riley and Brennan and three great grandchildren, Silas Kitchens, and the twins Julian and Damian Corea.
The Pallbearers are Michael Tribble, Bailey Tribble, Monty Kitchens, Aaron Kitchens, Glenn Kitchens, Bruce Kitchens. Honorary Pallbearers are Riley Tribble and Brennan Tribble.
