Bob Sample

Bob Smith Sample, 57, born to Martha Ann Smith and Wallace Henderson Sample in Abilene, Texas, June 17, 1955 passed away April 14, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. After his courageous battle with leukemia, Bob is now safely in the arms of his Lord and Savior. He graduated from Texas Tech and worked for several independent Oil and Gas companies. In 1989 Bob chased his dreams and founded Bob Sample & Associates, Inc., providing Oil and Gas brokerage services, to become one of the most successful in the industry. Over the years Bob has assembled a team of exceptional employees, who provided a major role in his company’s success, all of whom he loved dearly. Bob’s favorite pastime was watching his son, Travis, play baseball, traveling throughout the country with Glenda, his wife of 29 years, attending their son’s games. Visitation will be held at Sparkman Hillcrest, Thursday April18 from 5 to 9pm. The Memorial Service will be Friday 11am at Park Cities Baptist Church, followed by the burial at Sparkman Hillcrest. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Leukemia Society.
