After almost 25 years of serving in the Armed Forces, Bob retired and moved his family to Gosnell Arkansas. He gained employment with Eaker Air Force Base where he worked until the base closed. Bob was very passionate about his faith in God and studied daily. He was later ordained a Minister at Mount Moriah MB Church and begin preaching.
In 2015 Bob and Ruthie decided to move to Ennis Texas to be near their children and continue to enjoy retirement. They began visiting local churches and soon became members of Mount Zion Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Larry Rhone. Bob quickly began working for the Lord again and preaching the gospel at Mount Zion. During the season of covid Bob and his wife continued to study the bible and share the love of God with family. Bob kept the faith and trusted God in his battle with cancer until his physical body could fight no longer. Ruthie was lovingly with him every step until he took his last breath.
