He accepted Christ at an early age. As a young child, he was a member of the New Testament House of Prayer in Fulton Arkansas before relocating back to Dallas, Texas as a teenager. He was a 1984 graduate of South Oak Cliff High School in Dallas, Texas, and attended Texas Southern University for a year before being called to serve. In the fall of 1986, Billy enlisted in the United States Military (Army) and served a 4-year tour. During his military service, Billy participated in the Gulf War, served two tours in Iraq, and was awarded numerous awards regarding his military service.
After leaving the military, Billy enrolled in Texas College where in the fall of 1992, he joined the Sigma Sigma Chapter of Omega Psi Phi, an organization he would cherish throughout the rest of his life.
He met the Love of his Life Rena Luckett and they were united in Holy Matrimony on February 14, 1997.
Billy enjoyed playing softball, golfing, and boating and fishing. He was an avid sports fan and supporter of youth sports. Billy officiated youth and high school basketball, baseball, and football games for over twenty years.
Billy is preceded in death by his brother, Kevin White.
He leaves to cherish his memories; His mother, Tassie Lockett; His father, Billy Joe White ; His wife; Rena White, Four children; Darrielle White, Billy White Jr, Cameron White, and Darrius White, Seven brothers; Terrance White, Adrian White, Cedric White, Zachary White, Desharn White, Phillip White, and Calvin Lockett; Two sisters, Cassandra White and Shuniqua White;Six grandchildren and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and friends.
