Billie B Larr

Billie Joyce Brooks Larr, of Dallas, Texas passed from this life on September 24, 2015 at the age of 85. Billie, was born on June 16, 1930, the first child of Genevieve and Balford Brooks. On October 4, 1948, she married George A. Larr. They moved to 3225 Los Angeles in Dallas where they lived over 51 years, building a loving home & family together. Billie Joyce is survived by her three sons, Randall Larr and wife, Ranelle of Brady, TX., Gary Larr and wife Sarah of Cedar Hill, TX and Tracy Larr and wife Phyllis of Champaign, IL, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, her sisters, Sharon Stone and husband, Steve, Sandra McAlister, and Jim Brooks and wife, Martha. Billie was baptized at the age of 12 and lived as a faithful disciple of Jesus her whole life teaching Bible classes to children of all ages for 50 years until her health and age prevented her from continuing. Billie worked as a bookkeeper her whole life and retired from Texas Instruments. She loved music and singing, especially singing old country songs & hymns with family and friends. She also enjoyed playing all sorts of games, especially that grand Ol’ Texas game 42. There will be a private graveside service for family at Laurel Land, Dallas, TX on Saturday October 3, 2015 at 3 PM. A memorial service, open to all will be held at the Clark Road Church of Christ at 250 N. Clark Rd. Duncanville, TX at 4 PM.
