Beulah Blanch Wheatley

She was born to John Jefferson and Beattress Teel in Commerce Texas on January 8, 1930. Beulah had three (3) brothers: Johnnie Joseph (deceased); James Herrill of Cumby, Texas; and Willie Glenn (deceased); and one sister: Mildred Brown of Arlington, Texas.

Beulah married Leon Wheatley October 2, 1948, and they had three children: Donna Lee Barrera of Grand Prairie, Texas; Jerry Paul Wheatley and his wife Janice of Pottsboro, Texas; and Gary Wayne Wheatley and his wife Rebecca of Granbury, Texas.

Beulah and Leon were married for fifty-one (51) years before Leon preceded Beulah in death on May 15, 1999. They had six grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and many other children who she kept in her home after she retired that called her mama.

Beulah was a member of Danieldale Baptist Church in Lancaster, Texas for over fifty years and remained a member of the Rebekah Auxiliary of the Independent Order of Oddfellows in Dallas, Texas.

Beulah worked for Dresser Industries in Dallas as a parts inspector where she made many life-long friends during her thirty years there.
