Mrs. Betty Kay Williamson, age 62, of Lancaster, Texas passed away on Sunday February 17, 2019. Betty was born September 26, 1956 in Waco, TX to V.O. White and Permiror Wilson Gilmore. She attended Waco ISD graduating from Richfield High School. She continued her education at El Centro Community College in Dallas, TX graduating with a associates in Business Administration.
She was employed at Fedex Corporate Services, Inc. for 33 years. She built many long term friendships with fellow employees over the years.
She became a member of Friendship West Baptist Church under Pastor Frederick D. Haynes, III. She volunteered with the youth ministry for many years before she became ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Bobbie Jean Jelks; aunts: Superior Allen, Doris Thomas, and Bobbie Heslip; uncle: Joe Wilson, and niece Shanderland Jelks.
Betty leaves to cherish her memories: daughter Tylan Shayne Williamson in Lancaster, TX , step-sons James Antonio Johnson in DeSoto, TX and Tracy Hurndon in Fort Worth, TX; grandchildren; Nehemiah and Janelle N. Johnson, Traisey, Tristen, Trayden Hurndon; siblings: Maril White in Austin, TX, Roger Wilson in Waco, TX, Shirley (Marshall) Green in Glenn Heights, TX; nieces and nephews: Schmyra and Schmeka Green in Glenn Heights, TX, Juanika S. Caufield in Waco, TX, Reginald Donald and Carlos L. Wilson in Waco, TX, and Damion Smith in San Antionio, TX; great niece: Makayla Jelks in Waco, TX; great nephew: Kameren Jelks in Lancaster, TX; great great niece and nephew: Caden DeGrate and Amari Douglas; uncle; Milton Heslip in Dallas, TX; and a host of cousins and friends.
A visitation for Betty will be held Friday, February 22, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 6300 South R.L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75232. A wake service will occur Friday, February 22, 2019 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 6300 South R.L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75232. A burial will occur at Laurel Land Mem Park - Dallas, 6300 South R.L., Dallas, Texas 75232.
