Betty Jean Boyd Mullins was born in Dallas, Texas on October 12, 1930. She married Royce L. Mullins in 1948. They lived and raised two daughters, Debbie and Diane in Dallas and were active in their church at Lochwood Baptist, where Betty played the piano for many years.
Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Betty enjoyed traveling, playing dominoes, square dancing, playing the piano, singing, and loved her Lord and lived by his word. She was a devoted Christian and was a true example sharing her faith to her friends and family.
Betty and Royce loved to travel in their motorhome with many of their square dancing friends. They would have a caravan of motorhomes going to different states to meet up with other square dancing groups. They also went to Europe, Hawaii, and to Alaska on a cruise ship with friends.
Royce loved to fish and always had a boat. He, Betty, Debbie, and Diane spent many weekends at Cedar Creek Lake water skiing during the day and fishing at night. Betty and Royce always aimed to please everyone. They were loved by many!
At age 86, Betty was called Home on October 17, 2016, she had a sweet spirit to the end. Betty was greeted in Heaven by her devoted husband, Royce, who passed in 2008.
Her life will continue to be remembered and celebrated by her daughters: Debbie and Diane; Grandchildren: Derek, Andrea, Russ, and Kelly, and 8 great grandchildren! She will be greatly missed by all.
The family would like to thank VNA Hospice Care of Texas and the caring staff at Jacksons Place.
