Betty Jeanne Bingham Olson Maurer, loving wife, mom, granny & friend, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2012, in Dallas, Texas. She was born in Ottawa, Illinois, August 12, 1928. Preceded in death by her parents Thomas & Opal Bingham, first husband Wendell Olson, sister Linda Bingham & stepson John Maurer. Betty enjoyed spending time in Lake Tahoe, basking in the sun & gambling at the casinos. What she loved most was the time she spent with her family. She is survived by Mike Maurer, her husband of 32 years; children Jeanne Olson, Tom & wife Francile Olson, Dan Olson & Mindy Olson Ortega; stepchildren Kathy & husband Dan Larson, Tom & wife Sandy Maurer, Bob & wife Jodie Maurer, Jim & wife Rosanne Maurer; 15 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.
Visitation Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 6:00 pm, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 pm. at Sparkman/Crane Funeral Home.
Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, March 2, 2012, 12:00 noon at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 9643 Ferndale, Dallas, Texas.
Rev. Josef Vollmer-Konig, Celebrant.
Interment Calvary Hill Cemetery, Dallas, Texas.
