Betty Jordan

Betty Kathleen Harvey Jordan, age 92, passed away December 3, 2017. She was born October 29, 1925 to Earl Harvey Jr. and Vera Mae Harvey. Betty graduated from Sunset High School and attended TSCW where she earned a teaching degree. She met the love of her life, Fred A. Jordan Jr., a Lt in the US Navy and they married on January 27, 1947 and raised 2 children. Her husband's love of flying his Cessna 172, took them to the far reaches of Baja, Central America and the Caribbean. They had a passion for travel and adventure. She was a beautiful soul, a kind and gentle heart. If you knew her, you loved her and she welcomed you with open arms. She loved her family and got great joy spending time with her grandchildren, her 4 great-grandsons and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her Husband, Fred A Jordan Jr., her son Daniel Lee Jordan and grandson James Clayton Masterson. She will be remembered lovingly by her daughter Kathy Masterson and husband James R.; daughter-in-law Patricia Jordan; grandchildren, Kellie Pitman and husband Jake, Joanna Jordan and husband Matt Pink, Stephanie Jordan and husband John David Blakely; her great-grandsons, Clay and Carter Pitman and Danny and Johnnie Blakely; as well as her numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 10;30am on Saturday, December 9th at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd Dallas, Texas 75228.
