Betty was a long-time member of Eastern Hills Baptist Church. She spent the majority of her career with Sun Oil Company, from which she retired, at the same time as her husband, Paul, in 1988. After Betty and Paul retired, they enjoyed traveling together, especially to the Ozark Mountains. Betty will always be remembered as a loving woman who held her family as the most important thing in her life.
Betty was preceded in death by her great-grandson, Gabriel Hill.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Paul Matlock; daughter, Sherry Burke and husband Philip; daughter, Penny Dillard; granddaughters, Amy Loter, Natalie Kellenberger, and Ashley Dillard and husband Paul Baughman; great-grandchildren, Jordan Smith, Chad Hall, Riley Loter, Sophia Loter, Ava Loter, and Grace Hill; great-great-granddaughter, Elise Smith; as well as many extended family members.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at Grove Hill Funeral Home.
