Barbara Ann Tate

Barbara was born on February 17th, 1935 in Youngstown, Ohio to Russell & Evelyn Bowen (George). She was raised in Youngstown, Ohio and graduated from the Youngstown Hospital Association School of Nursing in 1956, and embarked on a long fulfilling career, as a registered nurse for over 58 years.

Barbara married Don Tate in the year of 1957, and the couple had 4 children together, Don, Doug, Diana, and David.

In her spare time, Barbara greatly enjoyed knitting stockings for her family, whom she loved dearly, reading, and spending time with her children, and a host of grandchildren & great-grandchildren. In addition, Barbara loved attending St. Luke's Lutheran Church, as a lifetime member, where she met so many wonderful and cherished friends.

Her family and friends will always remember her as 'Barb'.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Russell Bowen & Evelyn Bowen (neé George), and her beloved sister, Betty J. Panella. Barbara is survived by her four children, Don Tate Jr., (Donna), their two children, Brandon & Ashley; Doug Tate (Laura), their two children, Sarah & Katie; Diana Rich (Ben), their two children, Kevin & Hailey; and David Tate, along with his two children, Zach and Josie Ann. Barbara is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Mason, Emma, Liam, Quinten, and Skylar & her sisters Bonnie Perratto, and Beverly Boyer & her brother Richard Bowen. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church at 1210 W Belt Line Rd, Richardson, Texas 75080.
