Barbara Tucker Putnam passed away peacefully on August 14, 2021. Barbara was born on February 1, 1934 in Dallas, Texas to Hayden Hunton Tucker and Charles Read Tucker. She is the oldest of two daughters.
Barbara grew up in Dallas, attending the Hockaday School of Dallas through her junior year, then graduated from Highland Park High School in 1951. She married early and had five children. She worked in banking and the mortgage business for over 40 years. She later married Jim Putnam in 1974. They were married until his death in 2015. They enjoyed traveling together. They traveled to Europe, and often Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Barbara is preceded by her parents; husband, Jim; granddaughter, Bryson; and great-grandchildren, Brelle and Britton.
Barbara is survived by daughter, Carolyn Picone (Paul); sons, Greg Beecroft, David Beecroft, Dan Beecroft (Patty), and Mike Beecroft (Denise); grandchildren, Blake Beecroft (Jen), Danielle Johnson, Kaitlyn Beecroft, Damien Beecroft, and Charlie Beecroft; great-grandchildren, Brynlee, Breck, and Bryer Beecroft, and Jackson Johnson; and numerous other family and friends.
The family would like to thank Sunrise Hillcrest Assisted Living Facility staff and Faith Hospice for their loving care of Barbara. A memorial service will be held Monday, August 23, 2021.
