Barbara Jean Voight Henry, wife of James D. Henry for 52 years, died Monday, January 15 from complications due to Multiple Sclerosis for most of that time. She was born in Cleburne, Texas in 1934 and attended high school there and business college in Ft. Worth. She worked for Gulf Oil in Ft. Worth and was then relocated to Midland, Texas where she was a choir member in First Baptist Church. She met her future husband there, and they were married in 1965. After moving to Dallas, she did volunteer service through Lakeside Baptist Church of Dallas working in the church library, helping Japanese children to learn English; and later taught sewing in a downtown church, as long as she was able. Barbara was a joyous lady who loved others and who will be sorely missed. Visitation will be held 6 -8 pm on Monday February 22 at the Sparkman-Crane Funeral Home. The following day a celebration service will be held at 10:00 am at Sparkman-Crane Funeral Home with internment at Restland Cemetery to follow.
