Barbara Lynn Chilton was born in Dallas, TX in 1959 to J.E.R. (Bob) and the late Linda Chilton. Barbara was diagnosed with a severe developmental disability early on in her life. In spite of this, she graduated from Rockwall High School and successfully worked in the area for many years.
Barbara always had a smile for everyone and a loving personality that was infectious to all. She enjoyed her life and family to the end. As she declined in her illness, she had wonderful, loving and compassionate caregivers. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Betty Redden for overseeing Barbara's care and to each of her caregivers over the years for bringing love and laughter into Barbara's life. Mr. Chilton would also like to thank the staff at Traymore Nursing Home and Broadmoor Medical Lodge for taking such wonderful care of Barbara.
She is survived by her father, J.E.R. Chilton, and his wife, Missy; her brother, William E. Chilton and her niece, Jaclyn Chilton as well as many other family members.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Dallas Museum of Art.
