Aurora “Dora” Sandoval Rojas, 79, of Dallas was born in Martindale, Caldwell County, Texas on October 19, 1938, to Eustaquio and Irenia Sandoval. She went to be with her Lord, peacefully, in her sleep, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her children on November 1, 2017.
Aurora had a fulfilling career in the dry cleaning business for 37 years working in several cleaners’ throughout her life, when finally retiring on October 2015, from Faulkner’s Fine Dry Cleaning & Laundry in Dallas.
Aurora is loved and will be greatly missed by her children including all those whose heart she touched.
She is preceded in death by her husband Lupe Rosas Rojas and is survived by 5 children, Lupe Rojas, Jr., Mary Helen Rodriguez, Andrew Rojas, Russell S. Rojas, and Ishmael Rojas; 30 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Aurora is also survived by siblings, Maria Tenorio of Austin, Magdalena “Helen” Castillo, Ennis, Jesse Sandoval, Austin, and Joe Sandoval, El Paso; and brother-in-law, Kruse Rojas, Sr., of Dallas, and many nieces and nephews.
She joined her beloved husband Lupe Rosas Rojas along with her parents Eustaquio and Irenia Sandoval and siblings: Luis Sandoval, Eloy Sandoval, Irene Sandoval Silvas, Johnny Sandoval, Ramon Sandoval to be with Our Lord and Savior.
Auroras’ grandsons will be serving as pallbearers, Lupe Rojas III, Aaron Orta, Jr., Andrew Rojas, Jr., Russell S. Rojas, Jr., Ishmael Rojas, Jr, Juan Pablo Rojas, Alex Rojas, and Israel Orta.
Services will be held in the chapel of Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 3235 Lombardy Ln., Dallas, Texas 75220. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 5, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., with the Holy Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Monday, November 6, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place after the committal service, which will be held at the Calvary Hill Cemetery.
