Arthur Joseph Wright Jr.

52 of Dallas, Texas, passed away on December 7, 2015. Art grew up in Dallas, Texas, and lived the past 8 years of his life in Northern Virginia. He graduated from Bishop Dunne High School and attended Texas A&M University. He retired from the U.S Navy in 1988. He spent most of his life as an Electronics Technician then later became a professional photographer and a science fiction author. He received a PPA International Photographic Competition Award for his print “Olympic Dreamer.” Art enjoyed movies, football which included the Dallas Cowboys and Texas A&M Aggies, was an avid reader, and loved his dogs. Art is survived by his wife, Connie Larson-Wright; brother, Dan Wright and wife Nancy; sisters, Mary Davis, Eleanor Gilliland, and Theresa Wright; numerous nieces and nephews and extended family. He is preceded by father, Arthur Joseph Wright Sr.; mother, Eleanore Gauthier; and sister, Barbara Bentley. A celebration of life service will be on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Ted Dickey West Funeral Home.
