Armando was born in his family home bedroom located on Van Buren Street in the city of Brownsville, TX. He is preceded in his passing by his dearly loving parents, Julia (Munoz) and Florencio Arellano of Brownsville. He was the second son of three boys and one girl.
He attended Brownsville High School and went on to receive his diploma from the University of Texas in Brownsville, formerly known as Southmost College.
Armando moved to Dallas, Texas in 1974 and gained his first job at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas before meeting his life’s partner.
On April 14, 1979 he met his life’s partner of 40 years, Elliott Erron Bloodworth. They married July 7, 2015, one week after the Supreme Court declared equal rights to marriage for all citizens of America. The couple built a true home out of an old historic house in East Dallas starting renovation on November 13, 1981 and he passed away in that same house that they made a home of for 38 years.
He had a second career at IBM in Irving and later to the Southlake location where he took his early retirement.
In 1998 he excelled in the Finance Department of Southwest Airlines Corporate Headquarters for his final work career. He gained many ongoing friendships while employed for 21 years and devoted service to his career work at Southwest Airlines. He was always on time, received many accolades for his work ethics and LUV going to work each day at Southwest Airlines Corporate Headquarters in Dallas next to LUV Field, Dallas, TX.
In September of 2018, he was unexpected diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He fought the hard fight taking 10 of 12 scheduled chemotherapy treatments before the doctor stated it was terminal cancer, an 8+ month battle. He started hospice care at home, taken care of by his spouse and family members also the nurses and staff of Vitas Hospice.
He is survived by his spouse of over 40 years; Elliott Erron Bloodworth of Dallas, brother; Arturo Arellano of Dallas and sister; Silvia Rodriquez of Tomball Texas, many cousins, nieces and nephews as well as being known and loved as “Uncle David” to his In-law-family plus the countless friends inside and outside of work.
