Arlene Ellen (Abel) Hutson passed away in her Dallas, Texas, home. She is survived by her brothers Tom Abel of LeClaire, Iowa, and Bruce Abel of Ashland, Kentucky; sisters Cynthia Gardini of South Bend, Indiana, and Mary Ridenour of Mishawaka, Indiana; sisters-in-law Linda Abel of Waterloo, Iowa, Barbara June Rushing of Brownwood, Texas, Juanita Hutson of Austin, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her faithful companion Shotzie, who she took everywhere and loved dearly.
Arlene was born in Chicago, Illinois, to Edward C. Abel and Helen (Rozycki) Abel. Arlene worked for lawyers most of her life as a legal secretary in both South Bend, Indiana, and Dallas, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Helen, her beloved husband Alfred N. Huston and her brother Donald E. Abel. Arlene never forgot a birthday and you could always expect a thoughtful, hand-written card. She was the sweet, soft-spoken aunt with a big smile and will be greatly missed.
