Arlene Henzler passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, June 29th, 2016 in Plano, Texas, at the age of 82 and was reunited in Heaven with her husband and love of her life Daniel Joseph Henzler, her sister Joann Baker and grandson Anthony Mandikas.
Arlene was born October 7, 1933 to Jack and Marian Friedman in Newark, New Jersey. She was a proud businesswomen with successes both in owning her own business in New Jersey and working several accounting positions throughout her career. She loved to have her grandchildren visit in the summer months, spending days in the pool, at the beach or watching baseball.
Arlene is survived by her son Dan, daughters Donna Chatley and Lois Mandikas, grandchildren Bill Mandikas, Bryan Hodges, Stephanie Chatley, Brittany Weslocky, Kevin Chatley, Meagan Henzler and Samantha Henzler, her sisters Carol Waters and Beverly Alexeev and her brother Bernie Friedman. She was great-grandma to Jaxon and Bowen Hodges, Emma Mandikas, Anastasia Mandikas, Austin Mandikas and great-great-grandma to Damien Mandikas.
She loved her family with all of her heart and only wished the best for them, and for them to live life to the fullest. Arlene was especially known by both family and friends for her love of angels and animals, especially her dogs. Her granddaughter Meagan even called her “Angel Grandma”. Arlene’s family can now celebrate knowing she is with the angels.
Arlene’s wishes were to not have a memorial service and the family simply asks for your prayers for comfort as we mourn our loss of a mother, grandmother and friend and celebrate the life she lived.
There are no services scheduled at this time. Services will be held in Florida at a later date.
