

Arabella joined the saints triumphant on September 1, 2011. She celebrated her ninety-third birthday on August 30th surrounded by family. Arabella lived life with amazing grace and genuine gusto. Her contagious smile and engaging personality left a lasting impression upon everyone she met. She was beautiful inside and out. She lived to serve those she loved. Arabella was proud of her East Texas (Athens) roots and loved to tell stories of her heritage.
Arabella leaves behind an adoring husband of nearly seventy years, Dan Murchison Craddock, Jr., daughters, Arabella C. Bond and husband Benton, Lila C. Marshall and husband Schuyler, and Ellen C. Guercini and husband, Marcello, and son, Tom Craddock and wife, Jill. She also is survived by ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She reunites with her son Dan Craddock, III, who died in 1976.
Arabella especially loved children, teaching Sunday school for forty-one years in what is now known as “Arabella’s Room.” She was active for many years in the Junior League of Dallas and in the Hesitation Club. With five children, Arabella was involved in numerous PTA activities, frequently serving as President.
A celebration service will be held on Tuesday, at 4:30 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 8200 Devonshire Drive, where she was a member for over sixty years. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Karl Schwartz and Rev. Bob Leslie.
