Antonio “Tony” M. Cruz, Sr., 67, was born on February 15, 1949 in Dallas, Texas and entered into rest on July 14, 2016 in Dallas, Texas. Tony was a loving person and a devoted husband and father who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends; he especially doted on his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom he loved dearly. He loved spending time with his family by hosting cookouts and BBQs. He was also a hard worker who took great pride in keeping his lawn in pristine condition as he loved working outdoors. Among other things, he was a big of the Dallas Cowboys and enjoyed playing a good game of dominos. Tony is loved and will be greatly missed by all those whose heart he touched. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years of marriage, Oralia Cruz; children Antonio M. Cruz, Jr. (wife Laura), Thomas I. Cruz, Tanilo Pedro Cruz (wife Laura); grandchildren, Adrena Salinas, Antonio M Cruz III, Christopher Sevier, Samantha Devencia Cruz,Tanilo Cruz, Jr., Gabriel Cruz, Elena Cruz, Jonathan Garcia; great-grandchildren, Jayden and Jayla Salinas, Chris Sevier, Jr., Christian Sevier, Cameron Sevier and Aaliyah Sevier; sister, Pilar Contreras; sisters-in-law, Francis Harvey (husband Bill), Guadalupe Pinson, Maria Alexander (husband Bob), Virginia Rivera, Lilly Rivera, Sherry Fritz (husband Bill), and one brother-in-law Benino Rivera; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Join the Cruz family is remembering and celebrating the Tony’s life. Services will be held in the chapel of Calvary Hill Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5PM-9PM on Monday, July 18, 2016, with the Holy Rosary recited at 7PM. Liturgy of the Word will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at 10AM, with the Committal Rites to follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery.
