Annie Lee Ross, the third of four children, was born February 22, 1938 to the late Effie L. Runnels Williams and L.W. Williams in Ferris, Texas.
Ann received her education at Dunbar High School and shortly afterward united in holy matrimony to George Anderson Ross on October 20, 1956 and celebrated 63 loving years of marriage. To this blessed union four wonderful children were born.
Ann accepted Christ under the pastoral leadership of her uncle, Elder James A. Runnels the pastor and founder of Holmes Street Church of God in Christ. She continued to serve the Lord and walk in faithfulness in many capacities including: Fellowship Hall Director, Sunday School Secretary, Announcement Clerk, Choir Member, Church Treasurer, Trustee Board Member and Honorary Church Mother. In addition to the devotion to her church duties, she worked for Pathologists Bio-Medical Laboratories for nearly 40 years, as well as owned and managed several real estate properties across Dallas, Texas.
Ann was a generous and loving person who cared deeply for her family and her church. She had a strong faith in God and could always be found helping those in need. Because of her faithfulness, God supplied her with an endless love for baking and selling cakes. Because of her devotion, this self taught finance savant devoted all of her baking proceeds back to her church via the Fellowship Hall Committee which she chaired for many years.
Her loved ones who preceded her in transition and are awaiting her arrival in glory are parents L.W. Williams and Effie L. Williams, sister Learsce Collins, brother Kenneth Williams, and son in law Gabriel Henry.
Left to cherish her memories are: her husband George A. Ross, four children George Earl Ross, Kathy Ann Moody (Clinton), Brenda Lee Henry, Linda Kay McGill (Tyrone), four grandchildren Dr. Lindsay Rae Ross, Phillip Micheal Ross, Tiffany Deon Ross, Donielle RaeAnn Richard, 4 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, L.C. Williams, Jimmy Williams (Shellie) 1 maternal uncle, her church family and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Ann will be greatly missed and her love will continue to be in all of our hearts forever.
