Our beloved Annette L. Crawford, was born on June 28, 1947 in Waterloo, Iowa. She was the first of six children born to Henry Leland and Naomi Robinson. She professed Christ at an early age at Antioch Baptist Church in Waterloo, IA where she began to serve the Lord by singing in the choir. As she continued to serve Lord she found a home at Trinity Temple Full Gospel Church in Dallas, TX., where her love for the Lord and her passion for children led her to serve as the Children’s Church Director. Annette graduated Cum Laude from Bishop College in Dallas, TX with a major in Psychology. She later obtained her teacher certification with a specialty in ESL. She retired from the Dallas Independent School District after thirty years of compassionate teaching and diligently serving the community. Annette was an active member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., where she was awarded the “New Member of the Year” award, and served as the New Intake Coordinator. Her passion for singing led her to the South Dallas Concert Choir where she served as the President of the choir. She was an active member of Dallas Metroplex Musicians Association where she served as Assistant Secretary. Annette was also Secretary of the Southwestern Region of National Association of Negro Musicians. Annette transitioned to her eternal home on August 01, 2017, being welcomed by her parents, Naomi and Henry Robinson; two brothers, Norman Robinson and Stephen Robinson and one sister, Sandra Oliver. She’s survived by her four children: Charis L. Coleman (Eric) of Houston, TX; Chania L. Tinnell (Willie) of Duncanville, TX; Brandon L. Crawford (Jessica) of Tustin, CA and Braxton L. Crawford of Dallas, TX; her seven grandchildren; Cameron B. Barnes, Averi B. Barnes, Aharon C. Barnes, Dalen P. Crawford, Kylan W. Tinnell, Dallas B. Crawford and Dior A. Crawford; and great-grandson, Jordan B. Barnes; her two sisters; Carmen L. Sanford of Lincoln, NE and Brigitte Banks of Denver, CO; plus a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
