Anne was born to John C. & Christina Bengfort on July 29, 1922 in Lindsay, Texas. She grew up on the family farm in this small German community in far North Texas, surrounded by many sisters and brothers, cousins and friends. Upon graduating from Lindsay HS, she came to the big city of Dallas about 1940 and attended Draughon’s Business College. There she met the love of her life, Robert. They courted, married and spent the next 70 years together raising 4 children, and were additionally blessed by their 4 grandchildren & 2 great-grandchildren.
Mom was actively involved in her church as a member of the Women’s Guild, volunteering to serve in the lunchroom at our schools, the annual church carnivals or assisting wherever needed. Together with dad, she was a member of Dallas Elks Lodge #71 & the Order of the Alhambra, raising money in support of charities to assist the less fortunate. She & dad often traveled across North Texas while attending many Knights of Columbus dinners, events and Fourth Degree exemplifications.
Anne loved nothing more than to be with her family & friends. She was always there with a smile and a hug. She loved to bake & cook. She enjoyed raising many houseplants and flowers and her garden. As her health declined, she always “just wanted to get better.” She never questioned what life brought her and thanked those who cared for her needs with that same, warm smile. Her faith in God never wavered. She will be greatly missed.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Joe L. & his wife Louise, Florenz (Bimps) & Alphonse (Al) & his wife Juanita, her sisters Margaret (Maggie) & Genevieve (Gene) & her husband Walter Huchton & brother-in-law Werner Yosten. She is survived by one sister Frances Yosten of Muenster, her children Bobbyeann Wilson & husband Lanier of Wichita Falls, Robert Leon Jr. & wife Janet of Rockwall, Thomas Nathan & wife Catherine of Erieville, NY, & James Alan of Dallas. She leaves her grandchildren Patrick Hale & wife Larissa, Tiffany Hale Yohner, Amelia Hale & spouse Brian Longworth, and Elliot Hale. She also leaves her great-grandchildren Seth Quinlan Yohner, Luke Nathaniel Hale & her many nephews & nieces.
