Atley and Addie Hester. He passed away in Dallas, Texas on Sunday, February
25, 2024, surrounded by his children.
Eudean was preceded in death by the love of his life, Judy, just three months
prior to his passing. He is survived by his five children; Alan, Nanette (Terry),
Susette (husband, Russ), Julia and John (wife, Heather). He had 10
grandchildren; Nathan, Garrett, Briana, Nicole, Nicholas, Cole, Braxton, Haley,
Hannah an Holton. He was blessed with 6 great grandchildren. He is also
survived by his sister Janice and her husband Stan of Gulfport, Mississippi.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Roger and Charles David,
and sisters, Joyce and Pauline.
Eudean attended school in Shannon, Mississippi. He met Judy and they
married on May 11, 1957. They lived in Mississippi for a short time and after
the birth of their first son, Alan, he took a job with Hancock Fabrics and moved
the family to Houston, Texas. Eudean and Judy’s twin daughters, Nanette and
Susette, were born and shortly after, they relocated to DeSoto, Texas in 1967.
Their daughter, Julia and son, John were born and they continued to live in
DeSoto until the time of their death. Eudean had several business ventures
before he established his roofing company, Hester Roofing, in the early 1980s.
He ran this company, with the help of his family, until his passing. He loved his
family with his entire heart. He was a very generous man and would give you
his last dollar without hesitation. He enjoyed his hunting trips with his sons and
grandsons. He especially loved his time in his deer stand at the deer lease.
He loved his poker nights with the guys and was often thankful that they invited
the “old man” to share a seat at the table. He had many titles, but most knew
him as Pop and he will be deeply missed by all.
