Allen graduated from J. C. Harmon High School in1978, and then served in the US Army for twenty plus years. After retiring from the military, he was home for 6 months and needed to get away from Jacki. He decided to start a new career with US Postal Service. He was employed for 20 years before retiring
August 31, 2020.
Allen enjoyed traveling the world and experiencing new adventures. He was a member of the American Legion & VFW Veterans organizations.
Allen was married to the love of his life for 37 years and they have two beautiful daughters who are the light and Love of his life. Along with his three wonderful grandchildren.
Allen is survived by his spouse Jacki, his daughters Modesty of Arlington, Texas and Vaniti of Roanoke, Texas. Three grandchildren A’Jia, Kaidyn and Tristan. Siblings Anthony Overton (Shontrell), Raymond Jones, Colleen Asberry (Bennie) and Gregory Freeman. Siblings that preceded him in death, Wilber & Teresa Freeman, Sheila & Sharon Wells, and a host of cousins, nieces & nephews.
