Alice attended Charles Rice Elementary School and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1967. At Lincoln, she was a proud member of the Purple Flash Drill Team. She attended Dallas County Community College (El Centro) and completed their respiratory therapy program. She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at a young age. Her love for God was the foundation that kept her grounded.
Alice married her high school sweetheart Arthur Henry McDonald, Jr. and to this union was born two children, Arthur Henry McDonald, III and Jacqueline McDonald Miller. She enjoyed working and spending time with her grandchildren. She was well-known to the respiratory medical community.
She worked approximately 25 years at Methodist Hospital and 15 years at the Dallas Veterans Affairs Hospital where she retired from both. One of her greatest services was providing optimal health care to those that served us.
She was proceeded in death by her parents Charles Edward and Alice Briggs, brothers Lewis Braggs, Howard L. Braggs, and Charles Edward Briggs, and sister Lois Briggs.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories; Son, Arthur H. McDonald, III (Michelle), Daughter, Jacqueline McDonald Miller (Billy), grandsons Christopher McDonald (Briana), Jorden McDonald, Cameron Miller, Arthur H. McDonald IV, one granddaughter Chelsea A’Lyce Miller, one great-granddaughter, Chandler McDonald, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
She will truly be missed. Our loss is Heaven’s gain!
