On a beautiful morning at 7:02 am, on May 15th, I welcomed an extraordinary blessing from heaven. I held him tightly, loved and cherished him for 30 years. 
Though the ache of your absence is profound, I choose to commemorate your birthday with gratitude. I am grateful for the moments we had, however fleeting, and for the love that continues to connect us across space and time. You are a beacon of light that guides me through the darkest moments of grief, reminding me of the immense love we share and the lessons of resilience you taught me. 
On this day, I find solace in the belief that one day we will be reunited. Until then, I hold your memory in my heart, cherishing the bond that transcends the confines of time. Your light continues to shine brightly, illuminating my life and reminding me that love knows no boundaries. 
Happy birthday, my son. May your celestial celebration be filled with joy, love and the knowledge you are eternally loved, constantly missed, and endlessly remembered. 
Your spirit lives on, seeds planted in my heart and soul. Your brief life teaches me love is stronger than death, and legacies live beyond loss. 
This brought to mind a verse from the Psalms, “Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy” (Psalm 126:5). I focus on God’s word more and more each day, since you were called home 27 months ago. 
The verse doesn’t say that those who sow in tears may potentially reap with rejoicing. It says they will reap with songs of joy. This means that even when I don’t see the growth or even when I feel far from hope, in time, I will see it. It’s a promise, a life-line, a hope-filled reminder. 
In the meantime, I faithfully watch, wait, and welcome what this season shares with me. I faithfully water and nurture this time, even when I don’t understand what’s happening beyond what my eyes can see. I faithfully wait and stay rooted in God’s truths during the moments I feel impatient and broken with the process or uncertain what the purpose is.

Mikey,  I can still remember us playing and fighting when we were kids while our moms just chilled. I'm in disbelief that you're gone, but just know that I will always remember the fun times we had. And nd you will never be forgotten love you rest in paradise.

Mikey, I met you when you were just a little baby boy. That beautiful smile is what I remember the most of you. In my eyes you never grew older. You, your mom, my girls and I were very close at one point in our lives. We shared great moments but also went through some dark times together as well, but we helped each other through. This is by far the hardest. I wish we could have somehow kept close but life just happened. I know that you are now home with our Heavenly Father and one day we will all be reunited again. Sofia, I can’t even imagine what you are going through right now. I have no words. My heart aches for you. Mikey was a light in so many lives and will be greatly missed. I am here for you. Mikey was strong minded young man. He was funny and had great sense of humor. He had a big heart to all those he loved. He was my mother's greatest joy. Our hearts are broken to hear of this tragedy.  May God have him in his presence We will always love you my dear nephew.

 Mikey wasn't originally my friend. I actually met him through friends of an ex-boyfriend. I would have never thought we would have kept in touch this long, but it's been 8 years and the bond that has formed has been an everlasting friendship.  I do have my regrets of not driving down to the farm to see you like you had asked. As of now I take solace in my memories of I have of you. 
 My friend you are and have been such an amazing person. You always put others before yourself. If you had something and someone needed/wanted it you would give it to them  without thinking twice. Sometimes not getting anything in return and you were fine with that. When you really wanted something literally nothing would stop you from achieving your goal, no matter how many obstacles you faced. I really loved that about you. You were so funny and seriously just the sweetest. I miss you and I love you my friend until we meet again.

I always pictured you playing with my son Jr in your younger years and now I picture you being in Heaven with his brother. Your beautiful smile will always be remembered as the great memories of you growing up around people who loved you. God has called you to his kingdom and although we can’t question his call, your departure has left a heavy coat and many of us heartbroken, it’s difficult to believe you are gone. You will be deeply missed by many who loved you as myself. Until we meet again Mickey, but this time it will be on the golden road, because I know you will be there, may you Rest in Peace mijo. Your mother means the world to me and be assured she is surrounded by many who love her. We will love you forever Mickey!! Sofia, it is never easy to find the words to express the depth we are feeling, may you find comfort in the memories of Mickey’s life we will continue to pray for you to give you the strength you so need. Our deepest condolences as you grieve his passing.

But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words- 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 


You became my friend when I moved to a school where I knew no one. A simple conversation became an everlasting friendship! Through thick and thin you always made the best out of all situations. I’m glad we got to live together and had many eventful nights! Travel safe brother! Love you! Watch over us.

Growing up with my road dogs Mikey and our grandma was always so much fun! Never a dull moment. Our favorites during the summer were the morning donuts and Oj. Then for lunch our spam sandwiches with lays chips were always a good prep for an afternoon nap! When i think of Mikey I think of strength. He was a great person that was always there with words of comfort and wisdom. Always looking at everything in a perspective that the world lacked. His smile and goofiness was always there to brighten up the moment. I strongly believe that when God creates us He weaves certain individuals to be partnered together as a family. He knew we needed a Mikey! From getting thrown in the pool by our uncle to learn how to swim to him playing with my son is always a set of cherished memories. So Mikey I say this it’s not good bye for me. It’s a see you in a little while. I’ll carry your heart inside of mine. I love you for forever and a day!!!

We are truly grateful to the Lord for Mikey’s life and the honor and privilege to be part of his family. We will always remember his genuine heart, joyful spirit and contagious smile. 
 Mikey, you are cherished and loved. Memories of you are forever in our hearts.  I look forward to seeing you in heaven one day. In the meantime, I’ll be thinking of you and the exceeding joy of you being in God’s presence.

Mikey was my older cousin and he was one of my favorite people to see when we’d get to visit them in Dallas. I remember when Christmas would come around and since we’d always stay up really late when we were over there, we’d sneak over to the Christmas tree and look at our presents that we all had. Sometimes we even would shake some, or even open up the edges just a bit so we could get a peak at what was inside which was the funniest thing ever seeing his reaction when he would get clothes from someone. Mikey was the one who showed me a lot about drawing as well, he gave me my first paint pens to use on my own pieces which opened a whole new world of art for me. I love you and miss you so much Mikey, until we meet again.
